Endurance Co: Checkout Only Shopify Store for Polar GCC

Challenge

Endurance Co, the Middle East distributor for Polar, a global wearable sports-technology brand, known worldwide for its heart-rate monitors and sports watches contacted us. For the Gulf (GCC) market they didn’t need a full Shopify storefront - the global site for Polar is already well established. What they needed was a reliable, region-specific way to actually take orders: a commerce layer to handle the cart and checkout for Middle Eastern customers, tuned to local payment methods and currencies, without rebuilding their entire website on Shopify.

Solution

We built a checkout-only Shopify store - no public storefront pages, just a cart and a checkout. Customers browse on Polar’s existing external site and are carried straight into a Shopify-powered cart through permalink URLs mapped to each product, so the buying journey feels seamless even though the two systems are entirely separate. Around that core we handled the region-specific details that make or break a Gulf checkout: configuring the payment stack for the market - including moving the gateway to Stripe to unlock Apple Pay and dependable performance in the UAE, while keeping the previous provider available as a fallback - and working through how totals are presented to shoppers across the different GCC currencies.

Outcome

The result is a lean, dependable purchasing experience that gives a major international brand a compliant, localised Gulf checkout without the overhead of a full regional storefront. It’s a good demonstration that our work spans not just complete store builds but the more unusual, architecture-led problems that larger brands bring.
